Ellie + Austin | Nashville, TN Engagement

We had so much fun with Ellie & Austin at their sunrise engagement session in Nashville a few weeks ago! After rescheduling because of a monsoon (not really but basically), we ended up with a chilly, misty morning that was perfect for photos! They have been dating for almost 5 YEARS & I know they are so excited to start their lives together. I thought the way Ellie described their engagement was hysterical, so I wanted to share it with you:

“FUNNY STORY. Originally we were supposed to go on a cruise to the Caribbean but it got cancelled 10 days before we were supposed to leave because a crane fell on our boat (I promise I don’t make this stuff up). So I planned an impromptu trip to Washington, DC because I had never been & we had both already taken the time off of work. He proposed on the first full day we were there down by where the cherry blossom trees bloom. But plot twist, all of the cherry blossoms had already bloomed & were dead! He knew I don’t like to be the center of attention so he waited until everyone was gone from the walking path & proposed overlooking the water & the Jefferson Memorial. It was so perfect for us :-)”

As you can tell, these two are my kind of people 😂 (ask me about Nathan & I’s engagement story sometime lol). It was so fun for us to watch them have such a good time together while taking their photos. Nothing had gone as planned with having to reschedule, but they were still happy & joyful to be together in this season. We CANNOT wait to celebrate these two on their big day in May!
